Environmental Strategies to Address the Obesity Crisis
The environment affects health by its influence on health behaviors by means of making healthy behaviors easy or difficult. In this session, interventions that address specific environments related to nutrition and physical activity are presented as are tools to assess environmental factors to improve diet and physical activity.
Learning Objectives: 1.Discuss possible community assets and barriers to health diets and physical activity. 2. Describe strategies for modifying environments to help people make healthy choices related to nutrition and physical activity.
