The purpose of this session is to acknowledge the significance of training models and engagement in investigative studies to promote careers in public health. The audience will learn about the ways in which mentoring youth participants can help them to gain a deeper understanding of health issues in their community, skills to affect positive change, and valuable experience serving as public health leaders.
Session Objectives: Describe the benefits of quality youth-adult partnership, engagement in research, policy, and advocacy efforts.
Describe a training model for promoting careers in public health and mentoring future researchers.
