This session will provide important information regarding the trends, challneges and opportunities in providing high quality pregnancy and postpartum care.
Session Objectives: Describe the likelihood that high-risk postpartum women will receive counseling about birth spacing in the postpartum period.
Discuss the relationship between non-medical methods of labor induction and labor pain management and the use of medical services during labor and delivery.
Identify requirements and challenges associated with translating the Well-Visit Planner (WVP) into practice in today’s health care and research funding environment.
Describe the particular challenges and opportunities facing rural hospitals in the provision of high quality maternity care.
