Pertussis and Pneumonia Infectious Disease Epidemiology

Participants will obtain an understanding the effectiveness of using Census-tract demogographic information to predict rates of pertussis. Similarly, the best practices for reducing pertussis among infants and the prevalence of pediatric pneumonia in Israel will be discussed.
Session Objectives: Describe the effectiveness of using Census Tract-level demographic and socioeconomic variables to predict pertussis rates. Define best practices to reduce pertussis exposure among infants Identify the prevalence of pediatric occult pneumonia in Israel in 2010.
