WORKSHOP -PARTICIPATE in and PLAN OUR LAUNCH OF THE APHA HISTORY PROJECT-Members, Section, SPIG, Caucus, and Affilitate’s role and participation in telling our story
Monday, November 4, 2013: 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Oral
Since our inception in 1872, The Associations continues to be the major organization that spans the wide range of public health professionals, educators, advocates, and researchers. Our history matters - we can shape our future-but it has been over one third of our Association’s second century, with no overall organized documentation of our history since the Association history was published in 1972,
The operative theme of the Project is “We own our history and we will create our future”. Our history is the legacy that provides the portal to this future.
We are building a demonstration website that will provide a cyber-platform for dynamic development and a variety of ways to tap our individual and collective experiences. Bring your ideas, energy, and experience.
