International Experiences in Health and Safety
International Experiences in Health and Safety
Tuesday, November 5, 2013: 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Roundtable
The purpose of this session is to present and disseminate international efforts in Occupational Health and Safety(OHS). This session has been organized for the last 5 years where presenters from around the world presented their experiences. Many of the presentations led to learn better the situation in other countries and develop international partnerships to advance the research and action efforts in OHS.
Every year the session has attracted more international presenters, new section members and co-sponsor from other sections.
In the past, we have identified the need to allow more time for Q/A and discussion. We have reduced to number of presenters(from 5 to 4) to allot more time for discussion.
Session Objectives: Identify research and action in Occupational Health and Safety around the world.
Analyze experiences taking into consideration the different contexts and populations in Occupational Health and Safety from other countries.
Discuss how International Occupational Health and Safety efforts can contribute to on-going efforts in the United States.
Demonstrate the need of international collaboration and constant experience exchange to global Occupational Health and Safety problems.
