SEER*stat survival analyses

The purpose of this presentation is to provide an overview of a survival analysis. Several hands on exercises will be conducted to produce relative, period, conditional, and cause-specific survival rates.

Identify the different types of survival statistics produced by the SEER*Stat software. Describe how the SEER*Stat software can be used to calculate relative, cause-specific, period, and conditional survival rates.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I've been one of the lead developers of the SEER*Stat software for the full 17 years of it's existence. Over that time I've been using the software for the production of published statistics, and providing technical support and training for SEER*Stat. This includes training at the 2008 and 2011 APHA meetings.
