| Advancing the right to health poses significant challenges to health and human rights organizations, especially those that operate internationally. Such stakeholders should engage in discussion of new strategies in advancing the right to the highest attainable standard of health. This session will focus on the role of various stakeholders in the promotion and protection of human rights and the right to health in particular. Panelists representing government, Non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations will discuss the role that their respective organizations play in the fulfillment of the right to health. Participants in this session will learn how international health and human rights organizations can advance health rights, be introduced to how agencies interested in promoting health and human rights can incorporate such approaches into their activities, and discuss how international organizations can operationalize concepts for health and human rights theory into programming. | |||
