Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in the session will be able to

• Identify the reduction in the health care utilization and costs associated with vaccination against rotavirus gastroenteritis from the health care system and societal perspectives.
• Assess the key variables that influence the magnitude of the reduction in the burden of disease from the health care system and societal perspectives (i.e. the sensitivity of the cost-effectiveness analysis to key variables).
• Know how to critically evaluate the assumptions in other cost-effectiveness analyses and judge the robustness of the results based on the evidence for the assumptions included in the cost-effectiveness models.
