This presenter works at one of Philadelphia's eight community health clinics. The clinics are full-service, providing health care with no fees to the uninsured. The presentation will focus on the role of public health nurses in the community and the public health needs that are going unmet because of insufficient public health nurses.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant will

• Understand the role of public health nurses in providing access to health services in the community.
• Recognize and be able to discuss the public health needs that go unmet as a result of insufficient staffing.
