This session will focus on HealthierUS with an emphasis on nutrition and physical activity with a look towards 2005. The moderator will provide the overarching description of the President's HealthierUS Initiative emphasizing why the Initiative is critical to our nation's health. Panelists will address the collaboration and integration of key elements of the Federal nutrition assets: 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, USDA Food Guidance System (formerly the Food Guide Pyramid) and FDA Nutrition Facts Label, as well as the importance of physical activity.
