Prevention oriented web-based indoor mold course

This session will provide an overview of the new Environmental Protection Agency, Indoor Environments Division, web-based course on mold, with a focus on mold prevention. The course is designed for use by public health and environmental professionals, to provide a background on indoor mold issues and to provide information potentially of use for answering questions from the public on mold prevention and cleanup. There will be a focus on techniques and tips for avoiding mold in the built environment. This course is free, and is for informational purposes only - it does not provide a certification or certificate.

Learning Objectives:

  • 1 - Become familiar with tips and techniques for preventing indoor mold.
  • 2 - Discuss common indoor mold issues.
  • 3 - Become familiar with the new, free, EPA resource on mold
