This session will provide examples of programs that effectively engage congregations in addressing public health issues. The session will also showcase methods utilized to engage congregations in program planning, development and implementation. It is important to identify ways in which public health professionals engaged congregation(s) in identifying issues and activities relevant the needs and desires of the congregation(s) involved in the project. Projects are expected to highlight specific examples of processes used to understand of the issues and concerns of the congregation and methods utilized to engage congregants in addressing them. Attention should also be given to addressing the extent to which they were involved and the expected change in knowledge/ behavior and attitudes as a result of the project. | |||
