The Turning Point’s Leadership Development National Excellence Collaborative (TPLDNEC) has available its “product package” of tools and models that can be used in leadership training programs and within state and local health departments to educate participants on Collaborative Leadership. Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2000, the TPLDNEC is a multi-state collaborative whose mission is to “increase collaborative leadership capacity across sectors and at all levels.”

This package includes reading materials, training curricula, a video series, and a self-assessment tool. In this session, the 6-part video series and the South Carolina Collaborative Leadership Curriculum will be highlighted. The video series teaches the basics of collaborative leadership. It explores the questions: What is it? What are the qualities of a Collaborative Leader? What are the challenges facing Collaborative Leaders? The South Carolina curriculum is interactive and includes a step-by-step guide to teach the basics of collaborative leadership and includes a video of case studies. The curriculum and the video series can be used together or stand alone.
