How can we design services that acknowledge the impact of social determinants on mental health; reconnect clients with their hope and strengths; support a felt sense of safety (even during crisis) and ultimately, help clients rebuild their self-efficacy? This session addresses these questions as applied to inpatient and community settings.
Session Objectives: Discuss how to incorporate patient-centered case management in community based mental health settings. Assess environmental, resource, knowledge and attitudinal barriers affecting mental health service delivery. Describe the Plan Do Study Act model to implement change in an inpatient unit.
