Oral
This panel of three diverse Local Health Jurisdictions within California will share their efforts towards organizational transformation, in creating a public health workforce equipped to address the unique health inequity challenges in their communities. By instituting a series of innovative trainings, each county has created learning opportunities that foster a deep understanding of the social determinants and its association on health outcomes and health disparities. Each County will discuss the successes and challenges in the design, curriculum development, implementation, measurement techniques, sustainability and findings of participant engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the connection between accreditation and the workforce development opportunities these training series have on the strategic planning process.
Session Objectives: Compare the different leadership buy-in techniques between the 3 counties to find one that may work for their needs. Identify key learning objectives in one of the 3 county curricula that addresses health inequities. Analyze the evaluation results of each of the 3 counties.
