Strengthening health systems in developing settings

This session will discuss the importance of creating strong health care systems and strengthening existing ones in resource poor settings . The barriers to strengthen systems will be identified and strategies on how to overcome these barriers will be discussed by the presenters. The economic advantages to the low and mid income countries of having strong infra structure for health care systems will be highlighted.
Session Objectives: Discuss why strong health care systems are crucial in low and mid income countries. Discuss the role of strengthening health systems to support and improve health services delivery.
