SUMMER IN THE CAGE (bi-polar disorder), won the 2009 Mental Health America Media Award/Documentaries. In 2010-11, Ben was selected as a Rosalynn-Carter-Fellow-for-Mental-Health-Journalism for BURIED ABOVE GROUND a film that explores three American stories about post-traumatic-stress-disorder: Army Captain returning from Iraq with a Purple Heart; a New Orleanian survivor of Hurricane Katrina; and a rape/domestic-violence survivor.
