Sexual assault is a global public health issue that has a unique impact on college and university campuses. Current federal legislation, visible student activism, and increased public attention combine to form a unique cultural moment that presents opportunities and challenges for practitioners. This presentation will move beyond compliance-based thinking to provide participants with strategies to engage their communities, apply legislation and best practice to their communities, and implement comprehensive campus-wide programs that address sexual assault across the prevention continuum and at all levels of the social ecology.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have over a decade of experience in gender-based violence prevention and advocacy, the majority of which was focused on college campuses. I currently consult nationally and internationally independently and for Prevention Innovations Research Center (Research & Practice for Ending Violence on Campus) and previously directed a campus-based program for three years.
