One of the key cornerstones of public health accreditation is quality improvement and performance management. Since the first health departments were accredited in 2013, many have submitted their annual reports in more than one cycle. This session will include a discussion of lessons learned from accredited health department annual reports and the first PHAB-QI Leaders Academy

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the current Chair of the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) and have co-chaired the PHAB Evaluation and Quality Improvement Committee for the past two years. I also have numerous publications and consultation work in public health performance management and quality improvement. The information I will be present is derived from the reviews and analysis of accredited health departments' work in QI as it relates to PHAB.
