The presentations are a series of 3- to 8-minute narrated videos that address asthma in K-12 schools and homes.  They are designed to provide information and resources for school nurses, administrators, teachers, facilities professionals, coaches, and parents of children with asthma.  The topics include: 1) asthma emergency response and the asthma medication self-carry law; 2) reducing or eliminating indoor asthma triggers at school; 3) reducing the impact of outdoor asthma triggers, 4) reducing or eliminated asthma triggers at home, and 5) asthma-safer cleaning at school. Each video contains effective resources on issues related to each topic, There are also downloadable PDFs of key resources for school staff and parents.   

The videos were developed specifically to serve the needs of overwhelmed and underfunded school personnel that work at schools with high asthma prevalence among the student population.

The videos were developed by a team of health and environmental experts who serve on the California School Environmental Health and Asthma Collaborative (SEHAC); including, California Department of Public Health, US EPA, California School Nurses Organization, American Lung Association, University of California at San Francisco, Kaiser Permanente, Breathe California, and others.
