This presentation will provide participants with the perspective of what working in an international setting entails. It will review what skills are necessary to thrive in sometimes challenging environments. It will highlight firsthand experiences and refelctions of on the grond experience abroad.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have spent the last 25 years working in Global Health. This included two stints at two academic institutions, living and working overseas, program design, implementation and evaluation. I have been in leadership positions of global health projects for the past 15 years. Specifically, I have led USAID's efforts to develop the next generation of global health professionals. This role provided me with both a grounded perspective in practical career planning.
