Group work and presentations on case studies

Sunday, November 1, 2015 : 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Michael D. Kogan, PhD, Office of Epidemiology and Research, HRSA / Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Rockville, MD
In the final section of the course, we will break down the class into small groups and give each of them a different case study on developing an evaluation plan.  Each case study will have a different challenge, and students will have to work out the best type of evaluation design. They will also have to specify a basic logic model and at least one performance measure with a target.  Each group will then present their findings to the class.

Learning Areas:

Conduct evaluation related to programs, research, and other areas of practice

Learning Objectives:
Demonstrate knowledge of different evaluation designs, and be able to apply that knowledge to a case study. Discuss various methods of evaluation along the continuum from process to impact.
