Tina Croucher Act for Teen Dating Violence Prevention: A state level assessment of policy implementation
Methods: A web-based instrument was developed based on a systematic review of the literature related to the implementation and evaluation of relevant TDVP policies at the state and national level. The survey was administered in the Spring of 2015 among all school districts across Ohio (n = 614), specifically targeting high school principals (n = 626). Data analysis will explore associations among these different model constructs and the degree to which the Tina Croucher Act is implemented with a multivariable regression model.
Results: Variability in the implementation of TDVP education includes: number of related educational hours provided; development and implementation of educational components and content; and, the influence of political, financial, human, and other resources.
Conclusions: The results of this project will highlight the determinants that affect implementation of the TINA Croucher Act. Programming and implementation recommendations will be developed and provided to key stakeholders including policy and other educational decision makers.
