This session will highlight effective social media and media outreach strategies that were used to promote 2014 National Public Health events. The session will identify best practices in a college community, local health department, and national organization. Presenters will include winners from the National Public Health Week “Share Your Starting Lines” media promotion contest.
Session Objectives: Identify best practices to organize and promote NPHW events in a college community.
Describe ways to use social media to promote events and services within a local health department.
Describe ways to use social media to promote events on a national level.
