This session will explore Healthy People 2020 (HP2020) and its use of data to make informed decisions and action. HP2020 is firmly rooted in measurable objectives and has multiple tools in place to highlight strategies that work to achieve the 10-year targets set. Presenters will provide examples of some of these tools and resources and explore ways to use them in the public health field.
Session Objectives: Describe the process for assessing the progress of Healthy People 2020.
Explain the five SDOH domains and related objectives.
Identify at least two ways that Healthy People 2020 highlights communities that are working to achieve Healthy People 2020 targets.
