Community-wide children's health assessment and planning survey
Community-wide children's health assessment and planning survey
Tuesday, November 18, 2014: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Oral
A community-wide health survey is a time-consuming and expensive process. This is an opportunity to learn more about a tool used in a large geographic area to assess children's health reported by parents. In this session we will share the tool and how it has been used in a diverse population and across settings--urban, rural, suburban, the homeless, and the undocumented population. In addition we will demonstrate how it compares to national surveys and some of the issues we have addressed with data.
Session Objectives: Describe the process for survey refinement.
Discuss the survey tool and lessons learned.
Analyze the proportion of Non-response to the sensitive questions
Identify the predictors in the CCHAPS 2012 V2 data.
1. Compare local, state and national survey data on selected healthcare measures
2. To determine prevalence estimates for 23 health measures and 6 demographic statistics
Examine the statistical similarities across the local, state and national prevalence measures.
Identify the questions with most non-response or other limitations when considering geography or culture.
Examine the relationship between key survey responses and overall health.
Examine differences between surveyed populations across multiple locations with the same tool (urban, rural, homeless, and undocumented).
