This session showcases student research findings and provides a forum for
student researchers to engage in discussion in a personal level with other conference attendees. Numerous maternal and child health topics are presented, including individual, community, and system effects on maternal and child health outcomes.
Session Objectives: Objective 1: Identify individual risk factors associated with child health outcomes
Objective 2: Examine maternal and child characteristics related to access to care and health outcomes
Objective 3: Describe an evidenced-based process for creating nutrition education messages
Objective 4: Explain the effects of adverse childhood experiences
Objective 5: Analyze system and community characteristics influencing maternal and child health outcomes, including obesity in Asian Indian women, perception of asthma control, cost-benefit of using doulas, and antenatal care and reproductive health outcomes in the U.S. and Nigeria
