There are continuing public health needs to effectively broaden scientific inquiry, improve medical product safety and increase healthcare quality. These challenges can be addressed in part through innovative advances utilizing informatics technologies. This session will provide information on Northrop Grumman’s efforts to improve the public’s health in these specific areas. Presentations will focus on: (1) the use of bioinformatics data to help advance public health knowledge; (2) improving global medical product safety efforts through harmonized terminologies; and, (3) increasing quality care through the development of the new CMS Physicians Value Program.
Session Objectives: Explain how bioinformatics databases can assist researchers in sharing and synergizing research efforts
Describe how the MedDRA system helps support global medical product safety efforts
Discuss how healthcare could be improved as a result of the Physicians Value program
