This session provides a unique and important opportunity to hear from community partners regarding their perspectives on community-based participatory research. Panelists will share their experiences with community-academic partnerships, the challenges and benefits of participating in these relationships, the lessons they have learned, and recommendations for others engaged in CBPR. Panelists will also share local and national efforts to elevate the voice of community partners and enhance participation and leadership in CBPR partnerships.
Session Objectives: Identify successes, challenges, and lessons learned of engaging in EBPR partnerships, as described by community partners. Describe specific recommendations, from a community perspective, to conducting community-academic collaborative research.
