This session will address the effects of newborn care education for first-time fathers; paternal involvement in early childhood home visitation; patterns of paternal involvement in the lives of pregnant adolescent mothers of color and the effects of paternal stress and health behaviors on pregnancy outcomes in Taiwan.
Session Objectives: Identify the effects of newborn care education for first-time fathers;
Identify typical components of paternal involvement initiatives in early childhood home visitation services;
Analyze fatherhood from a race and class perspective within maternal and child health among adolescent mothers;
Evaluate the effects of paternal parental stress and health behaviors on pregnancy outcomes.
