Multiple factors influence health in Brownsville. We work to address health from multiple directions activating multiple partners to collaboratively find sustainable solutions for a population that is impoverished and vulnerable.

Describe the importance of looking at health from economic and educational perspectives. Identify one process that recruits and empowers multiple partners who are not traditionally involved in health.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am a practicing Obstetrician Gynecologist at a Federally Qualified Health Clinic who is also a native of Brownsville. I have been an Adjuvant faculty member of the UT Houston School of Public Health for the last 7 years and have been one of the primary developers of the Brownsville Farmers' Market and BBL Challenge.
