The IndexUS: Black Women’s Health index  will be launched and serve as a call to action to help policymakers, researchers, interventionists and the broader public health community, actively address the  impact—economic, financial and social—that equity in Black women’s health would have on society.

Explain the role APHA plays in advancing Black women’s health. Describe the appropriate use of an index in policy development and public health practice to achieve equity in Black women’s health.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have over 30 years of experience in programming and policy related to school-based health care, adolescent health, and public health. I have framed curriculum for integrating public health and primary care and developed a model for the expansion of school-based health care to achieve population health and equity. I have publish chapters and co-edited a book on school-based health care and educational success.
