Describe the history and evolution of the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps initiative.
List and explain the rationale for selection of indicators used to rank counties’ health status and contributing factors.
Identify ways that the County Health Rankings have been used to spur local initiatives to improve health and address social determinants that contribute to communities’ health status.
Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the Co-Director of the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program at the University of Wisconsin and have led portions of this work since 2009. Prior to joining the team, I worked in local public health for 21 years, working with numerous multi-sector collaborative teams. I hold a PhD in Nursing with an emphasis in public health leadership and have led research studying community health assessment and improvement planning processes
