Healthy Eating and Active Living: What would a CHW say?
This session will trace the role of CHWs in the development of HEAL, looking at both the methods used to collect their input and the activities that resulted. Both are easily replicable processes. A CHW who gave input, participated in the first pilot test and then led the second pilot test will discuss how the unique development of HEAL helps her to assist her clients. Finally, the presenters will lead the audience in a demonstration of an activity the CHW finds especially helpful with her clients.
This abstract was prepared collaboratively by the presenters. The demonstration activity was selected by the CHW as a good example of how she uses a HEAL activity with clients.
