Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: A member of the Navajo tribe, I serve as CDC's NCEH/ATSDR's Associate Director for Tribal Affairs. I serve as a liaison between the NCEH/ATSDR divisions and American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribes across the country. Responibilities include: expanding the visibility of the OTA, conducting outreach throughout Indian country, fostering relationships between NCEH/ATSDR and tribal communities related to environmental public health topics, and implementing policies within NCEH/ATSDR that support the sovereign status of AI/AN tribes.
