Biographical Sketch: Renee Y. Hsia is an emergency physician at the San Francisco General Hospital, and assistant professor at UCSF. Her research focuses on population access to emergency departments and trauma centers in the U.S.; the distribution of emergency care across income areas; factors associated with closure of emergency services; and how these closures affect patient outcomes. Her work is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
