Biographical Sketch: Gianfranco Pezzino co-directs the Center for Sharing Public Health Services, and serves as senior fellow and Strategy Team Leader at the Kansas Health Institute where the Center is housed. Dr. Pezzino served in the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service program and later was the Kansas State Epidemiologist for ten years. At KHI he oversees programs and practices to improve Kansas health outcomes, which has involved work on “regional cooperation” – the Kansas version of cross-jurisdictional sharing.
