Biographical Sketch: Nancy Lessin serves on staff of the United Steelworkers’ Tony Mazzocchi Center for Health, Safety and Environmental Education. She has worked with unions on issues of occupational safety and health for over 30 years. Since the mid-1980’s she has provided education and assistance in preventing or ending employers’ behavioral safety/blame-the-worker programs to unions across North America, in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Brazil and Australia. She is an adjunct faculty member at the National Labor College and the Labor Relations Research Center at University of Massachusetts –Amherst.
