Biographical Sketch: Lorece V. Edwards, DrPH, MHS is the Director of Community Practice and Outreach and Assistant Professor in Behavioral Health Sciences at Morgan State University’s School of Community Health and Policy. She is actively involved in several community health initiatives and serves as a Commissioner for the Baltimore City Council HIV/AIDS Commission. In additionally, she is a board member of the Maryland Public Health Association and the American Public Health Association. Dr. Edwards has a passion for community-based service-learning and community-engaged scholarship. She is the first author of Community Health Approaches to Mobilizing Partnerships and Service-Learning (CHAMPS). This instructional manual was published in the inaugural edition of CES4health, which is an online mechanism for peer-reviewing, publishing and disseminating products of health-related community-engaged scholarship that are in forms other than journal articles.
