Biographical Sketch: Hamisu Salihu, MD, PhD, is a tenured Professor at the University of South Florida in the Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (College of Public Health), as well in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Morsani College of Medicine). In 2008, the New York Times described him as a leading researcher in the field of stillbirth (April 1, 2008). He currently serves leads evaluation of the multi-million dollar Federal Healthy Start project in Hillsborough County, FL.
