Biographical Sketch: Barbara Polhamus, PhD, MPH, RD, is a behavioral scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity. She has worked extensively in the area of maternal and child nutrition. Her work focuses on obesity in young children. She is a member of the Healthy Weight Advisory Panel consulting on the National Health and Safety Performance Standards for Out of Home Child Care Programs.
