Biographical Sketch:
Theo Sandfort, Ph.D. is Professor of Sociomedical Sciences (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University and Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Trained as a social psychologist, his research has focused on sexual orientation and health, including sexual risk behavior. He has published widely about his research and serves on the board of various academic journals on sexuality. He is co-editor of Lesbian & Gay Studies: An Introductory, Interdisciplinary Approach (London: Sage).
