Learning Objectives:
Analyze the WHO and CDC reports from 2005 and 2009 to check what lessons were learned regarding the use of the health communication strategies of risk communication, social marketing and one-way versus two-way flow of communication during influenza outbreaks
Analyze semi-structured interviews (73) with stockholders from Israel; policy makers, journalists and healthcare workers, to find out how the communication strategies and theoretical dimensions from the WHO and CDC reports were implemented in the field, using Israel as a case study
