Health education and health promotion: Innovative Apps in health informatics information technology

From tracking the amount of mercury in fish, to monitoring sexual activity among young adults, there are a variety of apps available to help consumers keep up with the behavioral aspects of healthy living. This session will examine how these apps impact health promotion and disease prevention in a number of different settings.
Session Objectives: At the end of this session, participants should be able to: identify the health promotion and patient awareness techniques used in this app.
