Posters in this session offer an opportunity for presenters to share their work on innovative topics related to women’s health. Topics range from managing secondary prevention among college women, delivery of health care for poor and marginalized populations, and health related quality of life for caregivers. Practitioner perspectives can provide invaluable insight into the design of effective interventions and policy approaches to improve the health for populations of women.
Session Objectives: 1. Evaluate the variation in human Papillomavirus vaccine uptake by age and race;
2. Identify the challenges and benefits of getting public health housing residents to utilize the services of a community-based public health clinic, and develop effective cultural community-based partnerships;
3. Explore the burden of health-related quality of life in female spouse caregivers of head and neck cancer patients over the chemo-radiation period; and
4. Identify potential avenues for advocacy and policy change around primary prevention of poor birth outcomes to close the gap between research and clinical practice
