Topics in this session will address program evaluaiton findings from federal and local initiatives that have significantly impacted health outcomes of children.
Session Objectives: Identify the ways CHIP has influenced children’s coverage and access to care from 2006 to 2012. Evaluate the overall effect of the Federal Healthy Start Program components on intermediate and long- term program outcomes and their impact on birth outcomes among program participants. Explain the goals of using an evaluation tool in Maternal Child Health home visits. Identify community-based childhood asthma intervention strategies that have resulted in improved health outcomes for children
