Attendees will obtain an understanding of Malaria disparity in Kenya, intervention strategies to reduce malaria, a syphilis outbreak in Houston and its co-occurance with HIV and finally gonorrhea surveillance efforts in Richmond, VA.
Session Objectives: Identify some of the variables that contribute to malaria disparity List some of the intervention strategies that can reduce malaria prevalence Compare HIV and syphilis co-morbidity in Houston/Harris County in 2011 and 2012 Analyze the spatial distribution of gonorrhea surveillance data in Richmond, Virginia.
