Attendees will learn additional information about Type 1 and 2 diabetes such biographical ancestry, racial complications and whether exposure to pollution is associated with the development and severity of diabetes.
Session Objectives: Evaluate the contribution of biogeographic ancestry to racial/ethnic disparities in type 2 diabetes. Describe the impact of race on long term type 1 diabetes complications. Evaluate if air pollution exposure is associated with development and severity of type-2 diabetes
