Spirit of 1848 Business Meeting – with special guest Winona LaDuke at 8 pm

Tuesday, November 5, 2013: 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Business Meeting
The Spirit of 1848 Caucus Business Meeting is an open meeting. We invite any and all who wish to learn about our Caucus, which focuses on the inextricable links between social justice and public health. Our 3 themes are: the social history of public health, the politics of public health data, and progressive pedagogy. At the Business Meeting, we review our mission, review how the sessions went we have organized at the annual meeting, give updates on how our Spirit of 1848 listserve is doing, and brainstorm about sessions for the next year's meeting.
Session Objectives: Participants will learn about the mission and work of the Spirit of 1848 Caucus and how they can become involved with the Caucus.
